Andrew Shoup started Gothic Mountain Waste solutions in 2008 to provide comprehensive recycling services to businesses, events, homeowner associations, and construction waste services for builders and homeowners.
Andrew has been in the construction business for more than twelve years, locally and in Texas. He and his family moved to Crested Butte five years ago.
“I started researching the waste and recycling needs for our community more than a year ago by interviewing town and county officials, building professionals, homeowner associations, Office of Resource Efficiency (ORE) staff members and individuals. I immediately found that there is great support for increasing recycling efforts if it can be accomplished in a simple, convenient and cost-effective manner,” Andrew states.
Gothic Mountain Waste Solutions is dedicated to building a program that will collect all seven of the recyclables accepted by the county for the Gunnison valley. All of these materials are transported to the Gunnison Recycling Center where they are broken down and distributed to recycling plants.
