Recycling Guidelines
Residential Trash and Recycling General Information
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE OFFER TO YOU FREE OF CHARGE, (1) 96 GALLON TRASH TOTE AND (2) RECYCLING BINS. PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE AT 349-7012 TO ORDE THESE CONTAINERS TO BE DELIVERED TO YOUR HOME
TRASH-Your Trash should be out by 8:00 am on Pick-up Day
Please note the following items that need attention:
• Cat Litter Must Be Bagged and Tied
• All Pet Fecal Matter, and Hair, Must Be Bagged and Tied
• We cannot accept Liquid Paint. Paint buckets can be placed in the sun (lid off) for a few days until it dries. Also, you can put cat litter into paint and it will dry. Only when it’s dry, we can pick it up
We cannot accept the following items:
• No tires, liquid paint, rebar, concrete, no flammable liquids
• No material containing asbestos
• Hazardous waste
• Biomedical, infectious biohazardous, or regulated medical waste
• Industrial Process waste
• No Construction Waste
Any item that on the list above will not be picked-up on our route due to the safety of our employees. For the safety of our employees please do not put over 50 pounds of garbage in one can if you are using your own receptacles. You may put as much as you like in our Gothic Mountain Receptacles.
Please note that if you need to remove any construction waste, please call us as we have several options for the collection of construction waste
If you have any large items, please call us ahead of the pick-up. We will pick-up these items at an additional charge, based on the item. (Furniture, appliances, mowers, etc.)
RECYCLING-Your Recycling should be out by 8:00 am on pick-up days
We accept all recyclables that are accepted by Gunnison County. These are:
• Plastics 1&2
• Aluminum
• Tin
• Brown Glass
• Green and Clear Glass
• Cardboard, including paperboard as in cereal boxes
• Office Pack. Only white and pastel paper. No bright colored paper
• Newspapers and magazines
Please feel free to mix all the recyclables, however, we need you to put in a separate bin, newspapers, magazines, and office pack as they will become contaminated from the liquids.
Cardboard can be placed underneath the recycling bins so that the wind will not blow them away.
We can also take your appliances, TVs, computers, and other such electronics. Please call us first before putting them out.
